Efficiency class

IE = International Efficiency - efficiency classes according to IEC 60034-30-2008

• No IE classification: all motors up to 0.09kW
• IE2 (High Efficiency): Motors from 0.12 to 0.55kW
• IE3 (Premium Efficiency): all motors from 0.75kW
• IE4 ((Super Premium Efficiency):from 2023 2.4 and 6-pole motors from 75 to 200kW

Speed

The motors are selected according to the synchronous speed.
The synchronous speed depends on the mains frequency and the number of pole pairs in the stator winding.
Examples of synchronous speeds at a mains frequency of 50Hz:
2-pole: 3000 rpm, 4-pole: 1500 rpm, 6-pole: 1000 rpm ...

The rated speed at rated power is specified in the technical data of the individual motors.
This speed results from the slip required for asynchronous motors and is lower than the synchronous speed.
